Splatter Monsters

Today I had to improvise with the lessons I had planned because of lack of materials. Luckily, I had straws, white paper, and Dick Blick watercolors. I stole this idea from another website (if you know who please do tell) I cannot remember. It was a lot of fun for the kids and easy. I used blue and green with Kindergarten and red and yellow with 1st. I passed out the paper, had the students write their name on the back and then squirted a few drops of each color combo on their paper and let them have a hay day with the straw. Results are awesome and I can't wait to add facial features next week!
